Premier League Predictions Today – Saints to pile pressure on Arteta & low scoring games at Elland Road and Anfield

After both Manchester City and Chelsea failed to win last night, there is the chance for Leicester, Everton, Liverpool, and Tottenham to all make gains at the top of the Premier League tonight and those four teams feature in tonight’s betting tips.

Southampton to Win – 21/10 with Paddy Power

The Gunners are having a torrid Premier League season. A 1-0 loss to Burnley has left Arsenal in 15^th with the fourth-worst goals for record in the division.

Only Liverpool and Chelsea have outscored Southampton so far this season as the Saints climbed into the top four. The return of Danny Ings and the improved form of Che Adams makes them a real threat. The supporting cast has also been chipping in with goals and it would be a surprise to see Arsenal outscore Hssenhutl’s side.

 

Leeds vs Newcastle Prediction

Newcastle don’t often do exciting scorelines. Their last five games have ended either 2-1 or 2-0. Callum Wilson and Joelinton are forming a decent partnership but the Magpies still aren’t the sort of side to take the game to the opposition and that is likely to remain the case against an aggressive Leeds press.

Leeds have been less predictable this season but given how Newcastle are likely to approach this match, a low-scoring game looks likely.

 

Leicester vs Everton

Still leading the scoring charts with 11 league goals, Calvert-Lewin continues to prove the doubters wrong. He may not have scored against Chelsea but it was his run into the box that led to the penalty.

Leicester are flying high in third but have kept few clean sheets this season. DCL is Everton’s biggest goal threat by some distance and should he get the chance you’d expect him to score. At odds almost twice as long as Jamie Vardy, Calvert-Lewin looks like good value.

 

Fulham vs Brighton Prediction

Bobby Cordova-Reid Anytime Scorer – 3/1 with Paddy Power

After scoring the opener against Liverpool on Sunday, Cordova-Reid has climbed to four Premier League goals for the season. He is ahead of the misfiring Aleksandr Mitrovic for the Cottagers in terms of goals and comes up against another bottom-five side.

Brighton’s inability to keep things tight has been their undoing so far this season. Only three sides have conceded more than the Seagulls and a shut-out against an improving Fulham is fanciful. If anyone’s going to score for the newly-promoted side, Cordova-Reid is right up there and well-priced.

 

Liverpool vs Tottenham Prediction

Under 2.5 Goals – 5/4 with Paddy Power

Mourinho may well favour a similar approach to the recent Chelsea and Arsenal games. Tottenham’s strengths are firmly on the counter and in any case, a draw is not a bad result at all. Spurs will do everything they can to make this a cagey affair and utilise the Kane-Son combination on the break.

Liverpool have had difficulties break sides down on occasion this season and draws with Brighton and Fulham highlight this. Whoever comes out on top, few goals are likely to be scored.

West Ham vs Crystal Palace Prediction

West Ham are up to sixth after securing a fourth win in five. The Hammers have scored in each of those games but have kept their scoring to a maximum of two.

Crystal Palace have gone mad on occasion netting four against Leeds and five against the ten men of West Brom. However, the Eagles reverted to type with a 1-1 draw versus Tottenham and are likely to keep the scoreline down here.
