Fulham and Huddersfield play in the last round of Premier League fixtures for 2018 this weekend, and both teams will be well aware that this is already a relegation six pointer at the bottom of the EPL table.

Expert Tipster Prediction: It’s getting into the business half of the season now and the league’s two bottom clubs meet at Craven Cottage. The sides a separated by just one point at the bottom but we strongly fancy Fulham to get the three points and climb away from Huddersfield Town this weekend.

New manager Claudio Ranieri is yet to get the results that Fulham need since he was appointed as manager, but they have now drawn their last two matches and they just need to convert those to wins. Goals are a big problem for the Cottagers and Aleksandar Mitrovic needs to re-find his goalscoring form from earlier this season if he is to help Fulham climb away from danger. Huddersfield are even worse that their hosts this weekend, and have now lost their last six matches following a mini-revival where they took seven points from a possible nine. It is hard to see the Terriers going to South West London and winning this match, and Fulham will know these are the must win matches if they are to stay in the Premier League this season, this is one of the bets of the day here, and it’s Fulham to beat Huddersfield.

We have been persisting with Mitrovic in our football betting tips for most of this season but he is struggling slightly to keep up his early season form. One player who came into this season with a lot of expectation on his shoulders was Ryan Sessegnon. The youngster was brilliant in the Championship last season but struggled to heights in the Premier League. He did score against Wolves on Boxing Day though and that might have pushed him into a starting place for this match. Check the team news before you place this bet but we’re going with Sessegnon to make it two goals in two games and score in this match.

There is a lot at stake for both teams here and we’re predicting a very cagey affair. Five of Fulham’s last six matches have had two goals or fewer in them, but more importantly Fulham have only scored three times in that run. Huddersfield are having similar struggles in front of goal, scoring just four times in their last six games. This all points to our banker betting tip of under 2.5 goals, but instead we’re going to back up our earlier prediction of a Fulham win and bet on a 1-0 victory for the hosts. We’d also advise having a bet on 2-0 as well, just to cover a couple more bases. You’d still make a healthy profit if either scoreline was to be correct.
