The hosts have had their lead cut at the top of the Premier League table to one point in recent weeks but they’ll be expected to get three points tonight. Manchester City are also at home to West Ham (see our predictions here) so neither side will want to drop points in matches they really should win. It has been a difficult few weeks for Liverpool, with points dropped against Leicester, West Ham and Manchester United and a 0-0 draw in the Champions League tie against Bayern Munich.

Watford have been fantastic this season and come into this match with an extra two days rest and a 5-1 win over Cardiff in their last match still fresh in the memory.
