Manchester United vs Crystal Palace Match Betting Preview
United have started the season reasonably well. An emphatic 4-0 victory over Chelsea is somewhat flattering, but impressive, nonetheless. The Red Devils withstood early pressure from Chelsea and were perhaps lucky not to go behind. On the break, United were clinical and exploited The Blues’ weaknesses. The Red Devils took the lead against Wolves and were in control in the first half. Having been pegged back, United struggled to make an impact in the second half but had the chance to retake the lead through a Paul Pogba penalty.
Crystal Palace have predictably struggled in front of goal. Their overreliance on Wilfried Zaha is nothing new, but with the Ivorian clearly unsettled, Palace have looked blunt in attack. Zaha began on the bench against Everton, following his failed move to the Toffees. Despite his introduction in the second half and Everton going down to ten men, The Eagles were unable to make any impact. Palace started Zaha in their trip to Bramall Lane but once again, were lacklustre and failed to score.
Manchester United vs Crystal Palace Betting Tips
Aaron Wan-Bissaka has started well for Manchester United. He has not been replaced in the transfer market by Palace, bringing Joel Ward back into the fold. With Zaha unsettled and failing to hit the heights of last season, Palace stand little chance of a positive result.
An Eagles attack that was unable to breach Sheffield United’s defence stands little chance of scoring at Old Trafford. United have shown some signs of frailties in defence but have only conceded once, to a Ruben Neves screamer. The Red Devils are 23/20 to win to nil.
Palace have held up relatively well in defence. They were able to keep Everton at bay and have only conceded once so far. However, they have given up big chances in both games and were somewhat fortunate not to have conceded more. With that in mind, as well as Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial’s good form, we’re backing a 2-0 United victory.
