Will Harry Kane Stay at Tottenham this Transfer Window? Next Club Odds
When and if the 2019/20 Premier League concludes, the transfer window will open and one of the big talking points will be whether Harry Kane will stay at Tottenham or move, but what are the odds for Kane to stay at Spurs or where could be move to?
Harry Kane’s future at Tottenham has been an ongoing discussion since the Spurs talisman burst on to the scene during the 2014/15 campaign. The England captain hasn’t featured for Tottenham since the start of the year after sustaining long term injury but that hasn’t stopped rumours of his departure intensifying.
Here’s a closer look at where we’re most likely to see Harry Kane playing his football in the near future, and the latest betting odds.
Staying at Spurs – 4/6 (Paddy Power)
Tottenham are in somewhat of a transition period right now. Their progression to last season’s Champions League final may have provided optimism that silverware is on the horizon but in truth, Spurs have seemingly regressed.
Kane has made no secret of his desire to win trophies. When asked what Tottenham would need to do to keep hold of his services, Kane responded “I’ve always said: keep progressing, keep getting better, we want to start winning trophies. That’s the aim, as long as the club keep doing that then, yeah I’m happy here.”
In José Mourinho Tottenham have a manager with an extended history of winning trophies wherever he has gone. The 2019/20 season may not have gone to plan but there is certainly an argument to be made that the following season could yield silverware.
Manchester United – 6/4 (Paddy Power)
If Kane were to leave Tottenham, the bookies’ fancy Manchester United as his most likely destination. The Manchester club are in a transition period of their own and look no more likely to win a trophy at this present moment than Spurs.
However, United have no issue with spending large sums of money to bring about a change in fortunes. Their most recent summer singings highlighted their willingness to pay top dollar for British talent, spending approximately £150m on Harry Maguire, Arron Wan-Bissaka and Daniel James. A move for Kane would certainly align with their recruitment policy and could replace their Romelu Lukaku-shaped hole.
“He would be a great fit for Man United, he’d be a great fit for any team… but Man United at the moment are not better than Tottenham.
Whether Real Madrid or Barcelona came in, he might fancy a move like that one day."

Real Madrid – 13/2 (Paddy Power)
Spanish giants Real Madrid rarely let a price tag prevent them from signing whoever they like. Their long pursuit of Eden Hazard ended with the Belgian’s signature last summer and it could be a similar story with Kane.
Tottenham’s number 10 has long been linked with a move to the Bernabeu and there is no question about Real’s ambition to compete at the very top. Real Madrid famously won three consecutive Champions Leagues under Zidane, a feat that no doubt matches Kane’s ambitions.

Barcelona – 12/1 (Paddy Power)
A more speculative rumour but a possibility nonetheless is Real Madrid’s historic rivals, Barcelona. There are question marks over how good a fit this move would be for each party. Barcelona have plenty of forward options and Kane is unlikely to want to play second fiddle to anyone.
Manchester City – 14/1 (Paddy Power)
An unlikely, but altogether more viable move would be to Manchester City. Sergio Aguero isn’t getting any younger and City will be keen to issue a statement of intent after their dismal defence of the Premier League. Signing Harry Kane is undoubtedly one way to do it.
