Republic of Ireland sv Denmark Match Preview

The Irish went unbeaten in their first six qualifiers, taking 12 points to put them in a solid position to qualify with two games remaining. A 2-0 loss to Switzerland last time out has blown the group wide open but Ireland can seal qualification with a win against Denmark.

The Danes lead the group after victory over Gibraltar on Friday. A point against Ireland would be enough to see them qualify for next summer’s tournament. If Denmark were to lose in Dublin they would not be able to qualify directly and would have to contest a two-legged play-off.
