The quick turnaround won’t help Liverpool players still recovering from their midweek runout. Most notably, Fabinho suffered with cramp in the latter stages of extra time. Nevertheless, we expect Liverpool to have fully recovered in time to beat Southampton.

The Saints could have taken the lead but were uncharacteristically wasteful under Ralph Hassenhuttl. If Southampton fail to tighten up, Liverpool could run riot.
