Chelsea to win

Chelsea haven’t had the best start to the season in terms of results, with Mauricio Potchettino’s side currently lying 12th in the Premier League. However, the Blues have been creating a lot of chances, and they need to take them sooner rather than later. Nicolas Jackson looks sharp up top, and I think he could be the man to help them turn chances in to goals. From their four games so far, they have lost two, won one and drawn one. Bournemouth are yet to win, with two draws and two defeats, and I think Chelsea will be too strong for them in this one.

Both teams to score

Both teams have scored in three of four Bournemouth fixtures this season, with the Cherry’s scoring four, an average of one per game. They also had a high scoring game in the cup; a 2-3 win over Swansea City. As I said before, Chelsea are bound to turn chances to goals at some point, and they did bag three in their game against Luton Town. I think Chelsea will spend most of this one on the front-foot, and I think there will be a good number of goals. However, considering their vulnerability at the back, and the fact that Chelsea have conceded in three of their four games, I think goals will come for both teams.

Philip Biling to be booked

Last season, Philip Biling made 33 starts and two sub appearances for Bournemouth. In that time, he collected five yellow cards, averaging 0.97 fouls per game, with a tackle success rate of 67%. This season, he is yet to be carded, but I think he will be in for a tough 90 minutes here against a strong and physical Chelsea midfield. I think he is good odds to pick up his first card of the season in this fixture.
