Chelsea to win

Despite having a poor season this season, Chelsea have really picked up of late and will be looking to continue their fine form. The Blues have won each of their last three matches in all competitions, with a 1-0 win over Leeds, a 2-0 win over Dortmund and a 1-3 victory over Leicester City. Everton have slightly picked up recently, with a win and a draw in their last two. However, prior to that they were hammered 4-0 by league leaders Arsenal at The Emirates. I expect Chelsea to use their home advantage in this one and defeat Everton fairly comfortably.

Over 2 goals in the match

In Chelsea’s last game there was a total of four goals against Leicester City, as the Blues strolled to a 1-3 win at the King Power Stadium. In four of their last seven fixtures featuring Graham Potter’s side there has been two or more goals. Everton have conceded 38 goals in their 27 Premier League games so far this season, which is a high amount, leaving them with a very poor goal difference of -18. In four of Everton’s last six games there has been two or more goals, and I expect that to be the case here. This adds excellent value to this bet builder.

Amadou Onana to be booked

Amadou Onana has made 23 starts and two substitute appearances for Everton so far this season, and the defensive midfielder has become partial to a booking in the Premier League. The Belgian has seven bookings to his name in the league, and I’m backing him to pick up his eighth in this one against Chelsea. He averages 1.79 fouls per game, and will be forced into making a couple here as Everton spend the majority of the game with their backs against the wall. He attempts 3.13 tackles per game on average too, and isn’t shy of getting stuck in. I think he is good odds for a booking here.
