Huddersfield vs Arsenal Preview

It doesn’t look good for Huddersfield Town – they find themselves bottom of the Premier League table and a full 13 points from safety. Only a miracle will keep them in the Premier League and they simply haven’t been good enough this season. Goalscoring has been a huge problem for the team and now David Wagner has left, new manager Jan Siewert must start building for next season. They’ve only scored 13 goals in the Premier League all season so it is not hard to see where the main problem is.

Arsenal are still hit and miss and their last few matches have shown that. They were fantastic in the 2-0 win over Chelsea before losing to Manchester United in the FA Cup. They scraped past Cardiff last week and then were soundly beaten at the Etihad Stadium by Manchester City. Unai Emery still hasn’t got the defence sorted out but luckily for Arsenal, Huddersfield can’t score goals.

Frenchman Alexandre Lacazette has had to play second fiddle to Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang in the goalscoring stakes this season, but he has still chipped in with nine Premier League goals. He usually plays with Aubameyang and at the prices, we’re slightly favouring Lacazette for our anytime scorer tip. He has scored in two of Arsenal’s last three fixtures and there will be chances against a Huddersfield side who conceded five against Chelsea last weekend.

On our half-time/full-time betting tip we’ve predicted Arsenal to be winning at half-time and full-time, but that doesn’t necessarily mean this is going to be another hammering for Huddersfield. They have conceded either two of three goals in five of their last six matches and given that Arsenal are hardly fantastic on the road, we’re expecting them to keep the score respectable here.
