Man City are on a six game unbeaten run in all competitions and it’ll take some doing to stop them as they chase down Arsenal at the top of the Premier League. In their last two fixtures, both at home, they defeated Leipzig 7-0 in the Champions League and Burnley 6-0 in the quarter-final of the FA Cup. So, not bad going, right? Over the last few years, these two have been battling it out for top spot and the games have become somewhat fiery at times. I reckon it’ll be fairly end to end, and could be high scoring too. Liverpool are in the hunt for top four and won’t go down without a fight, and although it’ll be difficult for them to get anything from the game, I do think they will score. City are the highest scorers in the league with The Reds being the fourth highest behind City, Arsenal and Spurs. I think this selection will land fairly early in the game.

I’m taking the big Liverpool defender to have at least one pop at goal in this one. My reasoning is that Liverpool will get a decent amount of corners and VVD is often the target in the box.
