France are huge favourite to win this match at 1/50. The draw is 33/1 with bet365 and the odds for Moldova to cause one of the biggest shocks ever in International football are 100/1 at Betfair.

Both teams to score happened in the first meeting and that’s 9/2 to happen again.

The reigning World Champions have had a couple of tricky results during this qualifying campaign and they’ll be keen to secure their place at Euro 2020 with three points here. They are currently second in the Group H table behind Iceland, but will secure qualification with a win here. It is hard to see how they won’t get the three points against a poor Moldova side.

Paul Pogba is still absent from both the French side and the Manchester United team, and his teammate Anthony Martial was a surprise omission from the squad.

Moldova won’t be taking part in Euro 2020 and they’ve had a tough campaign against some good sides. France won the reverse fixture 4-1 last year – one of just two goals Moldova have scored in qualifying. They beat Andorra 1-0 and aside from that have lost all their other matches.

Despite Moldova losing all but one of their qualifying matches so far and scoring only two goals, they have never been battered by 6 or 7 goals. Turkey have scored four against them twice and Albania also scored four. Whatsmore, France haven’t scored more than four in any qualifying match despite their plethora of attacking talents including M’bappe, Griezmann, Giroud, Ben Yedder and Fekir. With that in mind, I like the look of France to win and under 4.5 goals in this match for the first betting tip.

The French attack is probably the best in world football right now so we’re spoilt for choice on the anytime goalscorer markets and it’s no surprise to see M’bappe at 1/3 and Griezmann at 2/5. However, a name that stands out is Bayern Munich’s Kingsley Koman. He’s already scored three times in Euro 2020 qualifying and if he starts this match he’d be a good bet at 11/10 with Paddy Power to add to that total. Whatsmore, if he’s on the bench I’d advise a bet on him to score if het gets on the pitch with 20 minutes or more remaining.
